Client Background

KIOCH [Kathmandu Institute of Child Health] is a not-for-profit organization established in 2017. It aims to deliver integrated multispecialty high-quality child healthcare that is affordable, accessible, and available to all, thus advancing the Quality of Life of Children in Nepal. KIOCH focuses on providing solutions to ever-rising healthcare needs and consistent poor health outcomes for millions of children in Nepal. It believes in the timely adaptation of scientific medical advances, and technologies and values people-centered care that are of international standards.

Objectives

KOICH the child health institute aims to attract donations to construct their multi-specialty children’s hospital building by embedding virtual tours in their website which can be visualized through mobile phones, laptops, and VR headsets.

Virtual tours need to be a combination of real panoramic images of existing hospital sites and a 3d interior of the Hospital that will be constructed in the near future. We partnered with Venus enterprise to build the first phase of the virtual tour.

Challenges

Combination of Real environment and 3D

Clients want to combine a virtual tour of a real hospital building with a 3D interior so we have to give a realistic experience of a 3D model and capture high-quality 360 content of hospitals that match our design plans.

Knowledge Gap

It’s highly possible a user in the target audience is not experienced with a virtual tour but the client does not want to put extra information menus which can change the home menu. So we require them to create a user-friendly option that makes it easy for users to take virtual tours.
